This project involved the renovation of a lovely one story cottage into a gorgeous two story home, retaining all the charm of the original featuresincluding beautiful cornice detail, marble fireplace and original ceilingrose with striking chandelier in the kitchen over the island bench. The project involved relocating the kitchen into what was formerly theformal dining room in the home and some lovely products have been to chosento echo the building features such as the black Franke Fragranite sink bowlswhich match the black of the fireplace behind. The benchtops in this kitchen are practical Smartsone in Carrara with awaterfall edge on one side of the island, taking the stone to the floor anda cantilevered edge at the other end. The doors are polyurethane in satinfinish in Dulux Vivid White to match the colour of the walls throughout thehouse. The splashback is Mirratech mirror by polytech with LED striplighting under wall cabinetry to provide excellent task lighting and anenergy efficient lighting solution.
